Healthy Homemade Chicken Taco Seasoning

This mildly spiced Southwestern seasoning blend is perfect for chicken tacos, and it's also nice with ground beef. You could even try it on tofu crumbles!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • ½ teaspoon coriander
  • ½ teaspoon oregano, preferably Mexican oregano (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic granules
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika, or more if you want it hotter
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more if you want it hotter

Instructions
 Start Cooking 

  • Wash hands for 20 seconds lathering with soap and rinsing with running water.
  • Place all the spices ingredients in a jar.
  • Put the lid on and shake to evenly combine.
  • Give the mixture a shake before using.

Notes

This recipe makes enough seasoning for a generous pound of chicken (or other meat). 
Double or triple the amount and use about two Tablespoons per pound of meat,
